Glasses can be fun, but often times, they end up being a giant pain in the butt. Especially when you fall into a situation like me where you get sick of your current glasses (readers, to be specific). I'd had my old ones since my Sophomore year of high school, and they really weren't my style anymore. They were a little too "grandma" for my liking, and I wanted something that was more hip and urban, while still being a classic style.
But, as I'm sure we all know, glasses are freaking expensive, and I was not looking to spend several hundred dollars on a new pair. Sure, you can find cheaper manufacturers that are based in Asia, but, going with my heart, I wanted to find a responsible manufacturer.
In comes Warby Parker: affordable glasses (only $95!) that are made responsibly (ethical and sustainably). No, this is not a sponsored post (I wish!) but rather, a declaration of love for the brilliance that is Warby Parker. Not only have they found a way to become the only sustainable manufacturer on the marker, but they've also found a way to keep their costs extremely low. In my opinion, it's a complete win-win situation.
I went through their home try-on process, which, in retrospect, I kind of wish I documented. But like I mentioned in my post a few weeks ago (which you can read here), sometimes I just get so damn excited about things that I forget to share them on the internet. This is a prime example of that. I got so excited to try on my glasses, find my perfect pair, and share them with my immediate friends and family, that I forgot to take pictures of them all and document them on the ole' blog here. But, that's okay, the try-on glasses come with reflective lenses, so photographing them would've been a nightmare, anyway).
Regardless, if you are in the market for some new glasses, I highly recommend ordering from Warby Parker! They're truly as amazing as everyone says. The only downside? I wish I ordered progressives so that I could wear my glasses all the time. :)
